Assistant​/Associate​/Full Professor of Economics

The Department of Economics at Furman University invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2027.We encourage applications from candidates in any field of economics, with preference for candidates in the areas ofmacroeconomics or financial economics.

We seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student advising, and research in a liberal arts environment. The department offers majors in Economics,Finance-Economics, and Mathematics-Economics. Faculty contribute across the department's course offerings in addition to teaching courses in their areas of expertise. The teaching responsibility isfive courses per academic year. We are interested in hiring faculty members with diverse perspectives who will foster innovation in our curriculum and provide a rich and varied educational experience forour students.

A PhD in economics or a closely related field by August 1, 2027 is required.
