Mechanical Test Engineer

Lucideon M+P is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team in Greenville, SC, where you’ll work hands-on with advanced materials testing to support clients across aerospace, defense, energy, and healthcare industries. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on practical problem-solving, enjoys direct client interaction, and is excited to grow technical expertise while making a real-world impact.

You’re a hands-on engineer who combines technical rigor with curiosity and customer focus. You have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical test methods and standards, including tensile, flexural, bend, creep, Charpy, and strain analysis.
• Ability to understand and interpret diverse test standards and client requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills to clearly present findings to clients and colleagues.
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (due to client requirements).

• Lead mechanical investigations on diverse materials and products.
• Set up, execute, and interpret a wide range of mechanical tests.
• Manage data acquisition, reduction, and documentation of results.
• Consult directly with clients to define testing programs and technical approaches.
• Write professional technical reports and deliver findings to clients.
• Support cross-disciplinary lab activities and mentor technicians.
• Contribute to laboratory procedures, audits, and quality compliance.
• Occasionally support the commercial team with technical scopes and client inquiries.
