ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Design Specialist will read, interpret, and generate design drawings utilizing various drafting applications under minimal supervision. The role requires walking down field systems, interpreting field direction, generating minor design details, creating new drawings, modifying existing drawings, and directing junior staffers to aid in meeting project timelines. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of progressive drafting experience in engineering and construction (Nuclear experience preferred).
- Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized engineering design.
- Background and experience in drafting/design in fields such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, and/or civil engineering.
US citizenship is required due to government contract and clearance requirements.
