STRUCTURAL ENGINEER at Carroll Daniel

This engineering role assumes responsibility for working within the Design department to design commercial and industrial concrete and steel projects. The candidate will work directly with Structural Project Managers to develop complete structural design documents, answer RFIs, coordinate submittal reviews, and edit specifications.

• Produce complete construction documents (drawings + specifications) for Design Build projects.
• Design varying structural systems including concrete, masonry, wood, and steel for a wide range of building typologies, focusing on industrial concrete tilt-wall and steel systems.
• Reverse-Engineering capabilities to assist with building and selective demolition.
• Remain knowledgeable of up-to-date construction methodologies and applicable building codes.
• Mentor and supervise upcoming young professionals pursuing EIT/PE/SE within the company.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• The majority of work is in an office setting, with intermittent sitting, standing, walking, occasional site visits, and some travel.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years relevant structural engineering design experience.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  Revit, AutoCAD, BIM
  360, RAM, RISA 3D, preparation of specifications, submittal/shop drawing review, field observations/inspections.
• License: S.E. in Georgia, with capability of reciprocity to other states.
