Quality Engineering, Process Engineer
Quality Engineer position open to support process control, product quality, and continuous improvement within a precision machining manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, improve process capability, and support both existing and new product initiatives.
This is an on-site, first-shift opportunity with long-term growth potential. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Quality Manager with internal system and process audits
- Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, and records
- Serve as a point of contact for customer quality communications and issue resolution
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions
- Support APQP activities for new product launches and ongoing production
- Develop and maintain Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation
- Monitor and analyze SPC data to improve process capability and reduce variation
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and comparators; interface with CMM inspection processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with quality support for additional locations and new product intake as the organization grows
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role
- Working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and SPC
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools; CMM familiarity preferred
- Quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, CQT, or Certified Quality Auditor are a plus
