Avionics Technician – Assembly Program:
Fighter Aircraft Production (F-16) Environment:
Aircraft Assembly / Production Hangar No tools required- all tools will be provided Must be open to working overnight and/or weekend shifts as needed Position Summary The Avionics Technician – Assembly supports aircraft production by installing, routing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting avionics and electrical systems during the assembly process. This role requires strong hands-on avionics experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment and the ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical orders while maintaining strict quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install, route, secure, and terminate avionics wiring, harnesses, and components during aircraft assembly
Perform continuity checks, functional tests, and operational checks of avionics systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics discrepancies using schematics and wiring diagrams
Perform soldering, crimping, pinning, de-pinning, and connector assembly to aerospace standards
Support aircraft power-on, system integration, and final assembly testing
Document work performed in accordance with quality and configuration control requirements
Follow FOD control, tool accountability, and safety procedures at all times
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical issues
Required Qualifications 6+ years of hands-on avionics experience in aircraft assembly, production, modification, or maintenance environments
Experience working with aircraft wiring installations and avionics system integration
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical orders
Proficiency with avionics test equipment (multimeters, ohm meters, continuity testers)
Ability to work assigned shifts, including overnight and weekend shifts as required
Ability to meet program requirements including U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications F-16 or other fixed-wing military aircraft experience
Production or final assembly line experience
Prior experience supporting defense or military aviation programs Work Environment Aircraft assembly hangar setting
Physical requirements include standing, kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces
Regular use of hand tools, avionics test equipment, and aircraft components
