Scope of Position: The Director of Finance and Administration is responsible to the Executive Pastor for planning, conducting, and evaluating all operational, administrative, and financial functions of the church to support and advance its mission and ministries. This role provides strategic and day‑to‑day leadership for finance, human resources, information technology, and administrative systems, enabling pastors, ministry staff, and lay leaders to focus on shepherding, discipleship, and outreach.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a mature relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the church’s doctrinal statement, mission, and values, and proven integrity, discretion in confidential matters, and collaborative servant‑leadership with strong relational skills. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, organizational leadership, or related field (master’s preferred), 7–10+ years of financial/administrative leadership preferably in a church/nonprofit, supervisory experience, and deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting, controls, and regulations.
Essential skills encompass project management across multiple priorities, proficiency in financial/church‑management software and IT tools, strong analytical problem‑solving, and excellent communication to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
