What You’ll Do
  • Perform a broad range of lab testing, including RT‑qPCR procedures and high‑complexity testing, without direct supervision.
  • Receive, accession, and process biological specimens; troubleshoot specimen collection and processing issues.
  • Execute and document quality control procedures and corrective actions per lab protocols.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Verify and report accurate results in a timely manner using EMR and instrument software systems.
  • Comply with OSHA, CLIA, COLA, and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory of reagents and lab supplies; ensure cost‑effective utilization.
  • Participate in lab proficiency testing and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
What You Bring to the Role
  • CLIA, CMS, and COLA requirements for high‑complexity testing met.
  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; OR Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology; OR 60 semester hours including 24 hours in science/MLT coursework.
  • At least 3 months documented lab training in each tested specialty.
  • Knowledge of molecular laboratory techniques;
    RT‑qPCR experience preferred
    .
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team member.
  • Comfortable working 12‑hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
