• Job Type: Travel Contract Surgical First Assistant
• Start Date: February 9, 2026
• End Date: May 9, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2340-$2510
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 12 Hour Days (6:30 AM start)
• On-Call: Every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend
• Hours per Week: 40

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Surgical First Assistant in a CVOR setting
• Recent vein harvesting experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology and Surgical Assistant program
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSA) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• High school diploma required

• Assist surgeons in cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
• Perform patient positioning, retraction for exposure, suture tying, dressing application, and skin closure
• Prepare and set up the operating room with all necessary surgical equipment
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with room turnover, and restock surgical supplies
• Collaborate with the charge nurse for assignments and serve as a resource for CVOR procedures
• Maintain active certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant
