HR Business Partner - Anderson
The successful candidate will support two plants under the direction of the Plant Manager and Manager of HR (not located on site). They will provide professional support to Leaders, Managers, and individual plant contributors. This position is 60% strategic/forward-thinking, 35% administrative, and 5% miscellaneous; requiring skills beyond administration/managing existing programs. The position will support 2 different plants and will include travel once a month.
Responsibilities- Understand core business objectives and how HR goals link to business priorities.
- Serve as the daily point of contact for employees and people managers related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Advise management in the appropriate resolution of employee relation issues, conduct investigations, and handle employee relations counseling with the related employee population.
- Coordinate recruiting and staffing initiatives required for the facility, including background checks and pre-employment drug testing in conjunction with the Manager, Talent Acquisition, and corporate processes.
- Coordinate new employee orientation/onboarding activities, employee development and training, and associated recordkeeping.
- Coordinate documentation and communication of Worker's Compensation-related issues with the Director, EHS as well as with state agencies and/or insurance representatives as required or requested.
- Participate in Safety initiatives throughout the plant with leadership.
- Prepare presentations for internal communications (e.g., monthly birthdays and work anniversaries for bulletin boards).
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office).
- Alignment with company mission, vision, and values.
- Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Must be approachable and helpful.
- Good ethical judgment.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Must be able to travel at least once a month.
- Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
- Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
