Step into a hands-on role where craftsmanship and precision are everything. As a Precision Tool Regrind Specialist, you’ll restore cutting performance to a variety of tools—drill bits, end mills, straight and round blades—by shaping and verifying their geometry on manual cutter grinder machines.
A day in the life
You start by reviewing tooling received from multiple machine shops on our delivery routes. You’ll carefully inspect each item, determine the necessary grind strategy, and set up manual grinders to recondition edges and geometry. Throughout the day, you toggle between surface, OD/, and manual tool grinders, confirming geometry against specs before and after sharpening. You work within promised turnaround times so tools can get back to customers on schedule.
The shop hums with activity—sparks, sharp edges, hot parts, and noise—so you use sound judgment and safety practices to stay focused and safe.
What you’ll do Sharpen and recondition cutting tools (drill bits, end mills, straight and round blades) using manual cutter grinder machines.
Inspect tooling before and after grinding with exceptional attention to detail to ensure correct geometry and cutting performance.
Meet deadlines for customer returns across multiple delivery routes.
Navigate safely around sparks, hot and sharp tooling, and loud environments.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; execute written and verbal instructions; complete additional tasks assigned by a supervisor.
What you bring
Self-motivation and comfort working in a deadline-driven setting.
Fluency in English.
Preferred: prior experience in a machine shop or cutter grinding environment.

Ability to sit, stand, and stoop.
Carry boxes up to 75 lbs and push carts up to 250 pounds.
