RN - MedSurg​/Tele

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage required (every other weekend). Floating to other units may be necessary based on census needs.

The Med Surg unit specializes in Vascular and Urology patient populations, receiving overflow patients from General Surgery and Women's Specialty Medicine. The average length of stay for patients is 1-2 days. Travelers will handle 5-6 med-surgical patients and must demonstrate EKG and critical care competencies.

• Provide care and management for patients with surgical conditions.
• Perform dressing changes, and care for patients with wound vacs and drains.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care tracking.
• Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary support teams.

• Active RN license in South Carolina.
• CERTIFICATIONS:
  
  ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Med Surg and telemetry nursing.
• Experience with vascular and urology patient populations preferred.
