Position Type: Full-Time Salaried, 40 hours per week
OverviewThe Accounting Coordinator supports the accounting and finance function by assisting with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across accounting processes. This role works closely with the Lead Accounting Coordinator, Business Manager, and internal staff to help maintain organized financial records and support efficient business operations.
Responsibilities- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and follow-up
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies
- Support monthly and year-end close processes by gathering documentation and reconciling accounts
- Assist with expense reports, credit card reconciliations, and receipt tracking
- Help coordinate vendor setup, W-9 collection, and payment processing
- Provide support with payroll preparation and related reporting as needed
- Respond to internal accounting questions and assist employees with basic financial inquiries
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist with special projects, audits, or process improvements as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience preferred in an accounting or finance support role (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Deltek experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
