The Operations Assistant for the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation has energy and passion for the mission and vision of the REC Foundation. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Operations Department and supporting Greenville office functions and sponsorship workshops and/or events. This role will also serve as additional support for RECF traveling workshops and events.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service via phone and email support to both our staff and customers
- General office upkeep, including but not limited to general cleaning and/or organization, kitchen/break room area cleaning and/or organization, garage/warehouse area organization and/or cleaning, maintenance, coordinate maintenance with external parties, trash, and office space management
- Maintain all office inventories by managing inventory systems and monitoring inventory levels
- Manage all incoming and outbound shipments including but not limited to securely packaging and labeling outgoing shipments, receiving incoming shipments, maintaining incoming and outbound shipping logs, verifying shipments, providing shipment notifications and details to recipients and/or the requestor, and handling shipping related claims with the carriers for lost or damage packages as necessary
- Pack, compile, and assemble workshop and/or event materials; arrange, coordinate & verify shipping logistics. Work closely with the personnel within operations to make sure all supplies ship out within the time frame requested.
- Purchase supplies online and in store as needed and as approved by direct manager
- Prepare documents/materials using various software programs
- Distribute information/materials to both our staff and customers
- Maintain files and retrieve documents; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perpetuate continual learning by maintaining a working knowledge of all REC Foundation programs, websites, software, and any other platforms utilized
- Maintain updates to the REC Foundation’s internal customer support assistance document
- Coordinate company truck maintenance and general upkeep, including but not limited to oil changes, repairs, managing company truck logs, usage, and usage requests
- Compile expense reports for purchase reconciliation as assigned by direct manager
- Prepares for REC Foundation supported workshops and/or events (set up and tear down) as assigned
- Run official company errands as needed utilizing the company truck
- Serve as RECFs driver and setup personnel for traveling workshops and events, this includes but is not limited to driving the RECF company truck and trailer to various workshops and/or event locations throughout the US
- Assist with workshop and event setup as necessary, this includes general workshop and event setup, field setup, unloading and reloading the trailer, supporting RECF training staff during workshop and event day, etc.
- Maintain the RECF trailer, this includes, but is not limited to, general trailer system organization and management, packing and unpacking the trailer, and inventory maintenance of all trailer items, including the trailer itself
- When not traveling supporting events, maintain all equipment for workshops and events, to include robotics equipment, fields, game elements, supplies for workshop/events, maintain log of all inventory and work with workshop/events coordinator through planning process for equipment, supplies and maintenance required
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Starting Pay: $15 - $20 per hour
- Job Type & Status: This is a part time, seasonal role from September 2025 to May 2026; there is potential for this role to move to full time, but not guaranteed (will depend on business needs)

Greenville, TX office - Schedule: 25 hours per week, may vary - schedule will be discussed with your direct manager (set schedule not guaranteed)
