BASIC FUNCTION
This position will provide focused support for automation assembly, installation, upgrades, and optimization of automation equipment on the plant floor, and RDC lab. Position will support the training and documentation process though the use of IQ/OQ/PQ data collection procedure.

Automation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Plant Automation team to accelerate the installation of new automation equipment.
- Train manufacturing technical staff on how to operate and maintain automation equipment.
- Work to optimize automation equipment.
- Observe automation equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service; troubleshoots and repairs equipment where possible.
- Evaluates system performance and makes necessary adjustments to equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficient in FANUC or ABB robotics programming
- Knowledge of industrial engineering including mechanical installation, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and chilled water systems
- Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of industrial safety regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2 years manufacturing or engineering experience a plus
Work Environment
Our Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled. Changes in humidity and temperature occur throughout the year. Although machine noise is constant, conditions within standards that meet OSHA mandated requirements, and which our Safety Committee monitors.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting fifty pounds occasionally.
Travel Requirements
- Twenty percent or less expected
