- Planning and execution of program activities.
- Documenting and approving program plans.
- Ensuring life‑cycle process adherence.
- Risk identification and management.
- Customer and senior leadership interaction.
- Overall program coordination during the program lifecycle.
The Project Engineer (PE) holds technical responsibility and authority for assigned programs, directly integrating with the Program Manager (PM). The PE manages technical functions through Project Work Authorizations (PWAs) and coordinates with Functional Managers to track Earned Value (EV) reporting, ensuring consistency across functional and program roll‑ups relative to schedule and budgeted scope. The PE is the key technical interface to customers and has responsibility for program technical performance extending beyond engineering functions, ensuring technical compliance within total operations activities, including manufacturing and HD&L interfaces.
Required Qualifications- Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI; ability to travel and work extended hours based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders up to and including executive level interaction.
- Program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule and budget.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering processes and policies.
- Demonstrated aircraft integration, test and delivery experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role (e.g., Task, IPT Leader, Chief Engineer, or Functional Management).
- Aeronautical Engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, stress, mass properties, aerodynamics, etc.).
- Systems Engineering (including Test Engineering).
- Software / Hardware Engineering.
- Project Engineering.
- Understanding of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance technical capabilities.
- Requirement decomposition experience.
- Engineering bid & proposal experience.
- Earned Value experience.
- MOSA/MBSE experience.
- CAM experience.
