The Lead, Systems Engineer (SE) performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems. This Systems Engineer is part of a team that help lead the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.
Essential Functions:- Lead a diversely skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and testing of WAN/LAN/SATCOM-based networks systems
- Translate customer system requirements into DOORS/Jira and lead Proposal efforts
- Must work on the facility with some limited flexibility
- Business travel equates to approx 5% of man-year
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Requires active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance, which requires US Citizenship
Skills:
- Prior military service is highly desirable
- Experience in Network and Systems Support/Installation, Cisco/Brocade/Dell IOS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP is highly desirable
- Experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) is highly desirable
- Experience with network packet inspection tools (Wire Shark, TCPDump) is highly desirable
- Experience with Linux is highly desirable
- Experience with multicast routing is highly desirable
- Knowledge of MPLS and VPNs is highly desirable
- Experience with HAIPE devices is desired
