Job Description:

Will be involved in developing, maintaining, integrating, and managing ground ISR systems, networks, and system storage devices. Will be a part of a talented team of engineers who collectively demonstrate excellent technical competence, reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and who continually ensure the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security. This position combines an understanding of both software engineering and systems engineering.

Will work with various departments to manage and develop ISR ground systems within L3

Harris. Will work primarily with existing infrastructure and involves world-wide travel for regular updates at all field locations. Requires the ability to speak technically to coworkers in development positions as well as at a higher level to both management and customer representatives.

Essential Functions:

* Ability to identify and find solutions for defects and mitigate risk

* Able to multi-task across numerous and varying system projects simultaneously

* Ability to test and troubleshoot multiple operating systems (i.e. Windows, Linux, NETAPP)

* Requires familiarity with engineering tools
* Understanding of RC135 platform, CI, MSI, and flight line stages

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
* Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
* In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

* Thorough understanding of how software works in conjunction with hardware interdependencies.
* Experience with Linux

* Ability to manage requirements through all phases of a project

* Ability to communicate effectively with developers to explain the requirement when needed.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills a must

* Strong professional interpersonal skills required when dealing with customer and third-party vendors

* Ability to travel and provide subject matter expertise during major and minor system baseline modifications at operating locations around the globe (a minimum of 10% travel expected). Preferred Additional

Skills:

* Clear understanding of software troubleshooting processes.

* Ability to identify and solve problems using logical engineering thought processes

* Enterprise LAN knowledge

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
