Harris is currently seeking a Sr Specialist Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

• Able to communicate effectively and work closely with assigned teams.
• Design, implement, and integrate software in a Linux environment.
• Perform software coding and debugging, conduct unit tests, and integrate software components.
• Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.

• Ability to obtain/maintain US Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development in Linux using C++ or Java.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of Dev Ops.
• Demonstrated software component development, implementation, and integration in Linux.
• Demonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

• Active US Secret clearance.
• Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.
• Experience in working with virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments.
• Experience with Aerospace/DoD programs.
• Experience with ISR Systems.
• Experience with SQL/No
  
  SQL database design and queries.
• Software and hardware troubleshooting background.
• Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.
• Multi-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experience.
• Google Protocol Buffers and network socket programming.
