** About The Opportunity
** Actively facilitate the preventive maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of our existing high- and low-pressure plastic injection molds. Help coordinate, schedule, and optimize both the Tool Room equipment and personnel to meet production schedule and reduce unplanned downtime.

Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with supervisor(s) to schedule and coordinate daily activities of both personnel and Tool Room equipment.  
2. Maintain the ability to operate Tool Room equipment safely.  
3. Mentor, teach and lead Tool Room personnel to follow proper processes and procedures.  
4. Troubleshoot mold issues in and out of the press.  
5. Utilize and teach best machining and production practices.  
6. Maintain all applicable documentation and accurate records for mold history.  
7. Assist other Tool Room personnel in general shop duties.  
8. Follow corporate, department, environmental, quality and safety programs, including the use of PPE.  9. Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.  10. Offer mold, plant and company wide continuous improvement suggestions.  11. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.  12. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification   Level Required  High school diploma or equivalent

Level Desired Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience   Required  
• 10 years of related Tool Room/Mold Shop experience  
• 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming and operations
• 3-5 years of experience with applicable CAD experience

4. Ability to work from an elevated platform up to 40 feet

6. Ability to complete any required training and any corresponding company required work instructions for this position  
7. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees  
8. Ability to understand and comply with ORBIS ISO procedures  
9. Ability to read, understand and communicate all safety and operational procedures  10. Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and performance by ORBIS Corporation standards  11. Ability to decipher 3D engineering models, including isolate, extract and program to create needed components  12. Commitment to excellence and high standards  13. Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm  14.

Ability to tolerate a changing work environment with temperature variation  15. Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
