Civils site manager

Location: Abbey Wood

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee civils and external works on a major infrastructure project in the SE LONDON area. This role is best suited to someone with a strong background in car park construction, structural repairs, groundworks and general civils management.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing day‑to‑day site operations across civils and car park works

* Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials

* Ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme and to spec

* Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings

* Maintaining RAMS, permits, site diaries and progress reports

* Liaising with engineers, project teams and stakeholders

* Overseeing quality control and compliance with drawings

* Managing logistics, sequencing and site access

* Ensuring smooth workflow across a 7‑day operational site

Essential Experience

This is a must — not optional:

* Strong background in civils

* Proven experience managing car park builds, repairs or external works

* Ability to run a busy site with multiple subcontractors

* Confident reading drawings and managing programme delivery

Qualifications

* SMSTS (required)

* First Aid (preferred)

Additional Info

* Up to £350 per day

* 7‑day working pattern available

* Long‑term programme with phased works
