The Opportunity

We're recruiting an experienced Site Manager with strong Setting Out capabilities to lead the resurfacing of a busy operational Bus Station Car Park. This is a high‑profile project requiring excellent coordination, technical accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing works in a live public environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations for resurfacing and associated civils works
Carry out setting out for levels, drainage, kerbing, and resurfacing lines
Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and the public to minimise disruption
Maintain site documentation, RAMS, permits, progress reports, and QA records
Monitor health & safety compliance on a busy, live site

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering or highways projects
Strong competence in setting out using GPS/Total Station
Experience on surfacing or car park renewal projects preferred
SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS essential
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to coordinate works safely around pedestrians, vehicles, and live operations
