1:1 Teaching Assistant required for a Secondary PRU in the London Borough of Greenwich
1:1 Teaching Assistant to have experience supporting a female student
1:1 Teaching Assistant to be available to start ASAP
1:1 Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
1:1 Teaching Assistant with an enhanced DBS on the update service

The Role - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Ability to form a trusting bond with a young female student
Supporting a female student with complex needs spanning multiple areas of development
Experience in supporting students with difficulties in processing speed, memory and basic literacy
Experience in breaking down information using a variety of different methods in order to support learning - ability or willingness to learn how to do this as and when needed, could be in the moment if student experiences difficulty
Proficient in using multi sensory methods and deploying sensory intervention when needed
The ability to recognise when student need intervention and ability to distract / defuse / de-escalate prior to event
Flexible and adaptable
Strong ability to advocate for student and use initiative
Support social interactions as part of student's ongoing progression
Staff member to be intuitive and able to learn student's triggers

The School - 1:1 Teaching Assistant
