Primary Teacher - Part-Time English (Year
5) - Blackheath Primary School

A welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Blackheath is seeking a committed Primary Teacher to teach English to two Year 5 classes on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm.

This Primary Teacher role focuses purely on delivering high-quality English lessons each morning, working closely with the Year 5 team to ensure consistency and strong academic progress. The school is looking for an experienced Primary Teacher who can confidently teach upper KS2 English and engage pupils through structured, creative, and well-paced lessons.

The successful Primary Teacher will:

Deliver engaging English lessons as a Primary Teacher to two Year 5 classes

Plan and adapt lessons in line with the national curriculum as a Primary Teacher

Assess and track pupil progress as a Primary Teacher

Maintain strong behaviour management as a Primary Teacher

Work collaboratively with colleagues as a Primary Teacher

This Primary Teacher position is ideal for an experienced Primary Teacher with strong KS2 knowledge and a passion for raising attainment in English. The school is seeking a reliable Primary Teacher who can commit to the full Monday-Friday morning schedule.

The Primary Teacher will trial for one week immediately after February half term, giving both the school and the Primary Teacher the opportunity to ensure a strong fit.

To be considered for this Primary Teacher role, you must:

Hold QTS

Have experience teaching English as a Primary Teacher

Have recent KS2 classroom experience

Be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm

Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through us.
