ASD Teaching Assistant - Greenwich - 95-115 per day

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour?

A welcoming and well‑resourced school in Greenwich is seeking a confident and resilient ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, supportive environment.

• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Managing and de‑escalating challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
• Implementing EHCP targets and personalised support plans
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Encouraging emotional regulation, communication and independence
• Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment

• Previous experience supporting children with ASD
• Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• Experience working with challenging behaviour
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
• The ability to build positive, consistent relationships

• A supportive SEN team
• Ongoing training and development
• Clear behaviour policies and structured routines
• A collaborative and welcoming staff team
