A full time early years teaching job has arisen in a well-resourced school in Greenwich. This position is in a nursery class and offers an excellent opportunity to someone with a passion for teaching who is seeking to be part of a forward thinking school. There are 30 children in the class with full time Nursery Nurses.
The successful candidate will be supportive of the schools working ethos.
The school is a happy and welcoming place where every individual is valued. Pupils are polite, and clear systems support positive behaviour both in lessons and throughout the school environment. A shared set of guiding rules, well understood by pupils, encourages them to support one another through responsibilities such as play leaders and anti-bullying ambassadors. Staff know pupils well, and these strong professional relationships help pupils feel safe and confident to speak to adults if they have any concerns.
Although bullying is uncommon, pupils trust that staff will respond promptly and help resolve any issues.
Main duties will include:
To establish a purposeful learning environment
To set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all pupils
To make appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils progress
Demonstrate commitment to professional development and learning and development of pupils.
Teachers must have:
QTS
Eligibility to work within the UK
Knowledge of the early years curriculum
Good organisational skills
Commitment to learning and development of pupils
