Engage Education is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join a number of secondary schools across Greenwich from September 2026.

This is the perfect opportunity for graduates who are considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, social work, or child and adolescent mental health. You’ll gain invaluable classroom experience while supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

The Role

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers to support learning across a range of subjects.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students build confidence and improve attainment.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, ADHD, Autism (ASC), dyslexia, and SEMH where appropriate.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning resources.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for graduates who:

  • Hold a degree in any subject.
  • Have a genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Are considering a long-term career in education or a related profession.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are proactive, patient, and resilient.
  • Have experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, or similar roles (desirable but not essential).
