Engage Education is working with a number of secondary schools across Greenwich to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher for full-time positions starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students to explore different beliefs, cultures, ethics, and philosophies while developing critical thinking, respect, and understanding in a supportive school environment.

As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience.
• Plan and deliver creative lessons that encourage discussion, debate, and independent thinking.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
• Foster an inclusive classroom where students feel confident expressing and respecting different viewpoints.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of the Humanities department.
• Support enrichment activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school.
• Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Is committed to raising attainment and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.
• Can motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
