1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant - Year 11
Location:
Alternative Provision
Pay: £117-£130 per day
Full-Time | Long-Term
Remedy Education are looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Support Worker to support a Year 11 student with SEMH and additional learning needs within an alternative provision.
The student requires a calm, consistent and confident adult who can build trust, maintain clear boundaries and support both his learning and emotional regulation.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH
Be confident managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation strategies
Build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
Support focus, understanding and engagement with learning
Help the student manage frustration, conflict and emotional regulation
Encourage independence rather than creating reliance on 1:1 support
Experience with in alternative provision, PRU, SEMH or specialist settings would be highly beneficial.
This role would suit an experienced SEMH TA, Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor or Youth Worker.
