About the RoleI am currently looking for an experienced Health & Beauty Tutor/Mentor to support a learner based in Greenwich
.
This is a sensitive SEN placement
, and I am specifically looking for someone with a strong background in supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and personalised Health & Beauty Level 1 and Level 2 learning programmes while providing tailored mentoring support to help the learner achieve their educational and personal development goals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Health & Beauty Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum content.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the learner's academic, social, and emotional development.
- Employ teaching strategies that are suitable for learners with Autism and SEN.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Assess work and provide constructive feedback.
- Build positive relationships with the learner, family, and wider support network where required.
- Promote learner confidence, independence, and engagement.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the forefront of all interactions.
- Experience teaching Health & Beauty Level 1 and/or Level 2.
- Previous experience supporting learners with Autism and additional SEN needs
. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Relevant teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or vocational qualifications are desirable.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
