We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader who is passionate about creating environments where every learner feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential. You will bring the determination, credibility and vision to build on existing strengths, champion innovation and drive an ambitious inclusion agenda across the college. With experience of supporting students with SEND, declared needs and a wide range of barriers to learning, you will have the confidence to influence practice, inspire colleagues and challenge the status quo where opportunities exist to further enhance the learner experience.

You will understand that inclusion is everyone's responsibility and be committed to working collaboratively with staff, learners, families and external partners to create a culture where high expectations, aspiration and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. As Director of Inclusion, you will:
Provide strategic leadership for inclusion across the college, ensuring equality of opportunity, belonging and high aspirations are embedded in every aspect of college life. Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious Inclusion Strategy that removes barriers to participation, achievement and progression for all learners. Champion inclusive teaching, learning and assessment, working collaboratively with leaders and staff to ensure all learners can access a high-quality educational experience.

Drive improvements in participation, attendance, wellbeing, achievement and progression through evidence informed practice and targeted intervention. Build strong partnerships with learners, families, employers, schools, local authorities and external agencies to strengthen support and create opportunities for learners. Use data, insight and learner voice to evaluate impact, challenge underperformance and drive continuous improvement. Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and excellence.

Ensure the college meets its statutory, regulatory and funding responsibilities while remaining ambitious in its commitment to inclusion and learner success. Who We're Looking For You will be a committed and ambitious educational leader with experience of driving inclusive practice and improving outcomes for learners. You will bring a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEND, declared needs and other barriers to learning, together with the determination and resilience to ensure those barriers do not limit aspiration, achievement or progression.

Leadership experience within further education, higher education, schools, or a similarly complex educational environment. Knowledge of SEND, Additional Learning Support, equality, diversity and inclusion.
