Senior Finance Manager

This five-month Senior Finance Manager post sits in the Business Partnering Team for Specialised Commissioning, within NHS England's Finance and Planning Directorate. The postholder supports the Head of Finance with month-end, forecasting and year-end work across a high-cost drugs spend area of more than £7bn. The team runs high-profile, fast-paced projects, and NHS applicants are offered secondment only. Fit depends on being a qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Supporting the Head of Finance with month-end, forecasting and year-end
• Applying and developing finance skills across a £7bn+ specialised commissioning high-cost drugs spend area
• Delivering high-profile, fast-paced projects that require adaptability, rigour and innovation

• Qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant

• Unblemished registration with CCAB or CIMA

• Significant financial management experience in a large, complex organisation
• Ideally NHS or healthcare-related organisation experience

• Identifying risks, anticipating issues, creating solutions and resolving problems
• Working independently as a proactive problem solver and responding to changing priorities

• Explaining complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues
