Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a full‑time and permanent Warehouse Operative. The ideal candidate would ideally hold a Counterbalance Forklift Licence or be willing to go through FLT training to join our team at the Haydock Operations Centre to assist with our Washrooms, Healthcare and Floorcare Divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the relevant paperwork.
  • Prepare stock for drivers.
  • Keep stock areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Carry out stock takes as and when requested.
  • Perform any task deemed necessary by the Operations Manager.
  • Liaise and build good working relationships with other staff within the branch.
  • Fully comply with current health and safety legislation and procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Have the manual handling capability to handle large amounts of stock daily.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Hold a Forklift licence.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Carry out all operations and activities in the prescribed manner.
  • Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation, including any relevant safety equipment or protective clothing.
  • Report any defects in equipment or protective clothing immediately.
  • Avoid improvising or taking short‑cuts that would entail unauthorised or unnecessary risks.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area.
  • Report accidents or near‑miss incidents promptly.
  • Suggest ways of eliminating or reducing hazards.
  • Cooperate with accident/incident investigations to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop a personal concern for your own safety and that of your colleagues.
