- Build meaningful relationships with children, young people and families.
- Undertake high-quality assessments and develop child-centred plans that lead to positive change.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Work alongside families to identify strengths, reduce risks and improve outcomes.
- Coordinate multi-agency support as a lead professional.
- Ensure children's voices, wishes and experiences are central to all assessment, planning and decision making.
- Support children to achieve permanence and stability without unnecessary delay.
- Work effectively with wider family networks, foster carers, special guardians and adopters.
- Prepare high-quality reports and represent the local authority in legal and statutory processes where required.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, reflection and professional development.
- A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Have completed your ASYE programme.
- Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
- Skilled in building strong relationships and engaging children and families in meaningful change.
- Committed to strengths-based, anti-discriminatory and evidence-informed practice.
- Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
