If you are a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience, excellent communication skills and an active, unrestricted credential (CPA/EA/Practicing Attorney), we need you to help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax Business products. The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, and have significant experience preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.
WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain sensitive customer information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language.
- This is a virtual, customer‑facing role; use our state‑of‑the‑art video communication software to interact with customers reliably and safely, and document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Interact with customers and team members professionally while adhering to and promoting Intuit’s operating values, including “integrity without compromise.”
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, evidenced by 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season.
- Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience preferred; experience preparing Business Tax returns for service industry customers preferred.
- Any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours per week (minimum 4‑hour shift increments) throughout the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills – able to interact with customers through video and audio tools professionally, friendly, and confidently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
Expected base pay range (location specific):
- Bay Area, California: $40.10 - $46.20
- Southern California: $40.10 - $46.20
- Colorado: $38.20 - $43.90
- Hawaii: $40.10 - $46.20

- Maryland: $38.20 - $43.90
- Massachusetts: $40.10 - $46.20
- Minnesota: $34.40 - $39.56
