At ESF, the Operations Support Team member is called a Production Assistant. A Production Assistant is responsible for critical behind-the-scenes tasks associated with daily camp operations, supplies, and materials, with some custodial responsibilities as well.

Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • Valid driver’s license or permit required.
    • Experience working with children preferred.
    • Previous work experience preferred.
    • Previous camp experience preferred.
  • Age Requirements:
    Must be at least age 16 by the start of camp.
  • Hours:

    Typically, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Hours may vary by camp location or week.
  • Schedule Commitment:
    Any schedule changes or time off must be pre‑approved by the site director.
  • Required Training:
    Complete all required ESF and state‑mandated training and onboarding.
  • Dress Code:
    Maintain the "ESF Look" (camp uniform) and embody the spirit of the camp.
  • Dive into the Camp Day! Perform daily operations and logistics support across all camp programs.
  • Operations & Logistics:
    • Help to ensure that camp facilities are clean, organized, and well‑maintained.
    • Daily set‑up and breakdown of equipment.
    • Assist with various responsibilities including camper pick‑up and drop‑off, late camper arrivals, lunch, water, snack delivery, and camp supplies.
    • Maintain and prepare snack and supply inventory.
  • Safety:
    Ensure compliance with ESF golf cart safety guidelines. Be observant and aware of any other safety concerns. Promptly report any concerns to the Site Director.
  • Teamwork:
    Work effectively with co‑workers and collaborate on various responsibilities.
  • Be the Ultimate Role Model:
    • Demonstrate ESF Core Values & Code daily, from "Gratitude" to "Bring It" daily.
    • Model the ESF Virtues of Character (Gratitude, Respect, Trustworthiness, Effort, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience, Community) in camp daily.
    • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Communication:
    Maintain clear, concise, and engaging communication with campers, families, peers, and our leadership team.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports directly to and takes direction from the Site Director and, at times, from other Camp Directors.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Push/pull, lift, and carry a minimum of thirty‑five (35) pounds across campus. Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.
  • Respond to emergencies, including running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion.
