K-12 Dance Teacher - Maternity Leave Replacement (February - March 2026)

Position: Dance Teacher – maternity leave replacement (February–March 2026)

Reports to: Heads of Upper, Middle and Lower School;
Performing Arts Chair.

FLSA Status: Exempt.

• This is a temporary contract with the potential for extension.
• The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable to evolving needs.

• Proven experience teaching students across the full age range of K‑12.
• Proficiency in teaching multiple styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and/or Contemporary. Knowledge of Liturgical Dance is a plus, but not required.

• K & 1st Grade
  :
  Ballet and Jazz; lead engaging, upbeat classes; incorporate creative movement songs.
• 2nd – 4th Grade
  :
  Musical choreography; choreograph multiple dances for the Spring Musical, coordinating requirements with the Music Teacher.
• Middle School (6th Grade):
  Jazz & Hip Hop basics; teach ten classes (5 Jazz, 5 Hip Hop), focusing on foundational skills and fun choreography.
• Upper School
  :
  Performance preparation; teach two sections; set two pieces for the Spring Concert and accompany students on one dance‑centered field trip.
