Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Summary

Children's Day School is seeking a passionate and dedicated toddler teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood development. This role is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing engaging classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of toddlers.

Duties
  • Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the ELDS/CT DOTS.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observe and document each child's progress, growth and milestones.
  • Communicate with parents, providing updates of their child's activities, development and needs.
  • Supervise and monitor students at all times, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and the administrative team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Facilitate play‑based and hands‑on learning experiences to encourage curiosity, exploration and problem‑solving skills.
  • Participate in parent‑teacher conferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
