Job Overview – Senior Manager of Financial Reporting (Insurance & Reinsurance)
Compensation: $200,000 – $210,000/year + bonus
Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Lead financial reporting functions and drive strategic accounting projects with our client as a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting in Greenwich, CT (Hybrid). Oversee the preparation of Statutory and US GAAP financial statements for insurance and reinsurance entities, direct enhancements to accounting and general ledger systems, and maintain compliance with FASB, NAIC, and IFRS requirements. Partner with senior leadership on executive-level presentations while managing and developing a high‑performing finance team.
Responsibilitiesas the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting
- Financial Reporting Leadership: Oversee the preparation of Statutory and US GAAP financial statements for multiple insurance and reinsurance entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage variance analysis, regulatory filings, and compliance with applicable reporting standards.
- Executive & Board Reporting: Collaborate with senior leadership to produce management reports and high‑level financial presentations.
- Systems Development: Lead initiatives to enhance accounting and general ledger systems, including implementing a new platform for reinsurance operations.
- Technical Accounting Research: Provide guidance on FASB, NAIC, and IFRS requirements to support compliance and strategic planning.
- Team Management: Mentor and develop a results‑driven finance team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Certification: CPA preferred.
- Experience: 7–10 years in accounting or finance, including 3+ years in public accounting and 5+ years in insurance, with proven team leadership experience.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite. - Industry Knowledge: In‑depth understanding of insurance and reinsurance accounting, Statutory and US GAAP reporting, and regulatory frameworks (FASB, NAIC, IFRS).
- Skills & Attributes: Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
