To perform cleaning functions in assigned areas to help maintain the hospital in an aseptic condition.

Responsibilities
  • Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following correct procedures.
  • Follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures.
  • Contributes to the efficient communication and cooperation inside and outside the department.
  • Uses all cleaning supplies according to established procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including understanding growth and development, assessing patient data, and interpreting information to meet age-specific needs, as per departmental policies.
    • Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

    Experience: Entry-level position.

    Special

    Skills:

     Must be able to read, write, and speak English; follow oral instructions; minimum of 1 month experience.

    Physical Demands: Normal hospital conditions; standing, walking most of the day; climbing stairs; turning, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching; pushing, pulling, handling cleaning equipment and supplies; lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
