Responsible for supporting the overall equipment and supplies of the Respiratory Therapy Department. This includes ordering and stocking supplies in respiratory supply room and various supply rooms through the hospital. Delivers and removes respiratory care equipment to ensure good working condition and sufficient supply. Responsible for ventilator and non‑invasive ventilator fleet including availability, cleaning, set up, operational verification, and distribution under the supervision and direction of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner and/or Respiratory Care Leadership.

Responsibilities- Disassembled, cleaning/disinfect RT equipment in accordance with manufacturers recommendations
- Setup and test equipment when appropriate that has been cleaned.
- Maintains inventory and minimum par levels of all disposable supply items in respiratory storeroom and various supply rooms in the hospital
- Orders supplies as needed and communicates back orders to the appropriate personnel.
- Notifying and communicating with biomedical engineering regarding broken or malfunctioning equipment.
- Responds to requests (routine and urgent) by department members with delivery of equipment and/or supplies to respective patient care areas as needed.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE
1 year of front‑facing customer care experience
LICENSURE
BLS
SPECIAL SKILLS
Computer Literate and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
They are occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
