Aboutthe Role
Senior Dev Ops Engineer (Hybrid – three days in office, two days remote). Part of the Enterprise Architecture organization, the engineer will ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of IBKR’s systems and applications.
Responsibilities- Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and conduct proof‑of‑concept work on new technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
- Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on‑call rotation.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or other STEM‑related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
- 5+ years of coding experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform or Cloud Formation).
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry such as healthcare or finance (preferred).
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in application software development.
