Travel RN - Mother Baby - Post Partum

American Traveler is hiring a Mother-Baby/Postpartum RN for a night shift contract requiring BLS, NRP, and 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products
• Experience maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) and starting/maintaining IVs
• Postpartum and nursery care knowledge required
• Experience with antepartum, Level 1 nursery, and postpartum care
• Experience with postpartum care following cesarean section, multiple births, and vaginal delivery
• Experience with pain management including opioids, pain assessment, post-epidural management, and PCA (IV)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• 1 reference required for consideration

• 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Weekend requirement of 3-4 shifts out of a six-week schedule
• No call requirements
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Provide direct patient care in a couplet care model supporting mother and newborn
• Short-term 10-week winter coverage assignment
• No holiday RTO permitted, with a maximum of 5 days RTO allowed
• Local radius restriction waived specifically for this 10-week assignment
• Candidates must be gone from previous staff employment for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemption only
