Position: 5/6 Lacrosse Coach

5/6 Lacrosse Coach

We invite an energetic and approachable 5/6 Lacrosse Coach to join Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Athletic Department for the 2026 spring season. Sacred Heart Greenwich has empowered girls and young women since 1848 in a developmentally appropriate educational environment that fosters spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Our coed early childhood program at the Barat Center for Early Childhood Education leads to an all‑girls experience from kindergarten through 12th grade on a 110‑acre campus in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Reports to: Director of Athletics
FLSA Status: Stipend, part‑time position

Job Summary and Duties
  • Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student‑athletes for competition, including plans for both experienced and brand‑new players.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices.
  • Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Head Lacrosse Coach and Director of Athletics.
  • Supervise student‑athletes during all team activities.
  • Comply with Sacred Heart and sport‑specific organization policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and students.
Typical Practice Times
  • Middle School:
    Season starts March 2026, 3:00‑4:15 pm, Monday‑Wednesday (occasional Thursday games). Travel to practices and games is required.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with lacrosse at the college level or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport‑specific skills and strategy, and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women. The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
