Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a Senior PV Electrical Engineer – Practice Builder to lead and expand our solar engineering practice. This high-impact role is ideal for a proven leader with strong industry relationships, a track record of winning work, and the ability to build and scale a high-performing team quickly.
Responsibilities- Leverage industry connections to generate new business and expand market presence.
- Develop strategic partnerships with utilities, developers, EPCs, and key stakeholders.
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and project acquisitions.
- Recruit, mentor, and build a best-in-class PV engineering team.
- Establish technical and operational best practices for project execution.
- Drive revenue growth through new opportunities and service offerings.
- Oversee the electrical design of large-scale PV and energy storage projects.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, UL, and interconnection requirements.
- Optimize system performance through advanced modeling and engineering analysis.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, regulations, and market trends.
