This role is available to candidates anywhere in the United States; ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office. The position involves control‑systems design responsibilities for industrial and commercial facility projects, ensuring P&IDs, valve sizing, instrumentation specification, and documentation while meeting building codes and standards.

• Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
• Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff and discipline leads.
• Design and optimize control systems for various processes in collaboration with architects, engineers, and designers.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, document and model design information.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience working with instrumentation and control.
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) – preferred.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
• Strong collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for buildings and construction.
• Experience mentoring junior professionals or leading small teams (preferred).
• Experience with data center design (preferred).
