• Lead the BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings
• Creates or modifies DIV 27 specifications
• Conducts site visits
• Reviews technical documents
• Mentors other team members and learns from senior team leaders
• Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Signs and seals telecommunications design packages
• Works with the lead engineer and/or department manager to identify processes to improve departmental efficiency
• Depending on bandwidth, may also lead projects

• Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited college
• Minimum 8 years’ experience designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its applicability to telecommunications structured cabling systems
• Proficiency with Bluebeam
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients
• Excellent project management skills
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs
• Experience providing quality assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others
• Experience with startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems
• Experience creating a budget for a project
• Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk
• PE license and ability to obtain multiple PE licenses – required

• 4 years telecommunications design experience in Data Centers
• Experience working on other low voltage systems (security, audio/visual, wireless)
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls systems and security systems
• Knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures
• Credential as an RCDD
