OverviewRocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to support our community oncology infusion centers. This pharmacist will join our exceptional pharmacy team and will have the opportunity to directly impact patient care within the only Colorado practice participating in the Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM).
Salary Range$135,000-$143,000

Oversees pharmaceutical care plans in designated specialty area or product line, including initial patient evaluations, development of care plans, and ensuring treatment plans are carried out. Ensures ongoing review of patient clinical status. Recommends adjustments to drug therapy based on clinical status and treatment outcomes. Coordinates with clinical providers to ensure all aspects of pharmaceutical care are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Communicate interventions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Initiative roll-outs and follow-up
- Document pharmacy interventions to drive metrics
- Educate staff on policies and procedures
- Initiate quality assurance programing
- Monitor compliance with drug utilization
- Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders
- Support Admixture services
- Assist with organization and direct workflow efficiencies
- Value-based Care Initiatives
- NCCN Guidelines and Pathway Compliance
- Clinical, Safety, Dosing, Cycles
- Initiatives:
Dose rounding/banding, Preferred Drugs, Underwater Drugs, Therapeutic Interchange - Help establish Drug Specific Protocols
- Drive performance through bench marking and data metrics
- Total Cost of Care Reductions
- Pegfilgrastim in Metastatic Disease
- Biosimilar Utilization
- Bone Health Agent utilization
- Therapeutic Interchange and Dose Optimization
- Lead and participate in pharmacy educational programs
- Nursing in-services
- Attend clinic operations meetings
- Local and National level committee participation
- Review new clinical trials with sponsors
- Provide patient accruals to principle investigators
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, Pharm
D preferred - Current active Pharmacist license (Colorado)
- Minimum three years of experience as an oncology pharmacist & PGY1 completion
- Strong clinical oncology pharmacy knowledge & experience
- Completion of a PGY2 in Oncology preferred
- Board Certified in Oncology (BCOP) preferred
- Demonstrate interpersonal, collaborative, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to professionalism and dedicated desire to advance patient care
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, Pharm.
D. preferred - Current active Pharmacist license (Colorado)
