As the RN Unit Manager, you will oversee daily clinical operations for your assigned unit, ensuring exceptional care delivery, smooth workflows, regulatory compliance, and strong communication among residents, families, and staff. Please note that an RN license is required for this position.

- Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the unit, maintaining highest quality care and adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Assist the Director of Clinical Services in managing the day‑to‑day operations.
- Assess resident needs and implement comprehensive care plans; consult with resident physician and update plans as changes occur.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop discharge plans.
- Conduct resident rounds to assess condition and ensure safe, clean, and comfortable environment; act as liaison among residents, families, physicians, and staff.
- Participate in developing and maintaining policy and procedures governing clinical services operations.
- Participate in associate evaluations and disciplinary action as required.
- Ensure proper transition of nursing reports upon shift duty.
- Complete follow‑up investigations and provide or arrange follow‑up education related to medication errors; report occupational exposure to blood, bodily fluid, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas; monitor supplies and place orders as needed.
- Follow up on pharmacy recommendations to assure implementation of order changes.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and participating in continuing education and committee meetings as required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Minimum 1‑3 years of nursing service administration experience with 1 year of management experience preferred.
- Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
- Current RN state nursing certification in good standing with no actions on the license.
- CPR and First Aid certifications must be current.
- Standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Talk or hear; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision and required interaction with co‑workers, residents or vendors.
- Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage.
- On‑call as needed.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, infections, latex, blood‑borne pathogens and various chemical, infectious or biological hazards.
- Requires travel occasionally.
