Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll provide compassionate, personalized support to patients receiving end-of-life care – often over the course of several weeks or months. You’ll work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team who cares for patients like family. Together, you’ll bring comfort, dignity, and guidance to patients and their loved ones throughout their hospice journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing hands-on nursing care in the home or facility by managing symptoms, administering medications, and helping patients stay comfortable
  • Observing and reporting changes in patient condition to the RN and care team to ensure timely, coordinated care
  • Documenting patient status, care provided, and important updates clearly and promptly to ensure safety and continuity across the care team
  • Supporting patients and families with guidance, compassion, and practical education to prepare them for care routines, medications, and end-of-life care
  • Collaborating with the care team to provide smooth, patient-centered care
What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
  • (DL) Driver License
  • Vocational School Graduate
